Media Bias
by blair on Jan.30, 2009, under Daily
It really disgusts me how biased the mainstream media is. Yesterday Obama practically walked into a window and the mainstream media completely ignored it. Imagine if it were Bush; it would be playing over and over for years to come! Check out the video:
$900 Billion Stimulus Plan
by blair on Jan.29, 2009, under Daily
Oh joy, I and everyone else, get to pay the government $900 billion for a horribly drafted stimulus plan. I honestly don’t know why anyone in their right mind would vote in favor of this. Every single republican voted against it, along with 11 democrats. Every single cent of this useless stimulus that is almost $1 trillion, goes to causes that should just die out. $400 million to global warming research? Why do we need to spend $400 million of OUR money on that CRAP when we can’t even keep jobs!? It’s ridiculous!! In an era of such economic problems, we need to stop spending money on a governmental level. This money should have been given to every single of age American citizen. If every of the, say 300 million, citizens got the same cut of this $820 billion, we would each get $2,733. We could then head out and spend this, stimulating the economy. But no, we have to give money to research STDs and buy government cars. Here’s an idea: stop banging everything that moves, and use your current car for 4 more years! Does anyone think of this? Well, obviously not most of the left as there was only 11 democrats who voted against it. Where’s this bipartisanship Obama was promising? This bill was 100% partisan to the left. He is such a liar, but then again, so are all politicians; especially those from Illinois. From the abortion money going overseas, to closing Guantanamo Bay; it seems Obama is so partisan that he is just a puppet for the DNC. It seems as all his executive orders are to make us look better as a nation, not to help our current citizens.
DCCC Attack on Rush Limbaugh
by blair on Jan.28, 2009, under Daily
Am I the only one who feels this is ridiculous? (http://scsurl.com/sammnw) The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) along with President Obama say we cannot listen to Rush anymore. Why? Because he speaks his mind. The DCCC are outraged that Rush wants Obama to fail. Why are they so ticked off? I understand no one wants such comments about “their guy” but they take it too far. For 8 years, there has bee Bush bashing from every single left nut. 8 years worth of “FAIL BUSH” or “Impeach Bush”. Now Obama is getting that same attention (although much much less so) from conservatives on the right and the left is appalled that we would think such things against their love, President Obama. Goes to show what a huge double standard the left takes on, if the president is conservative: “To hell with him!!”, if he’s liberal: “Who is saying bad things? We’ll sue and petition the heck out of them!” I can’t believe that some are such children when it comes to politics. It really is sad. Sure, President Obama wants more bipartisanship, and I agree with him 100% there; but telling us who we can and cannot listen to? That is more like communism than democracy. http://scsurl.com/dy6963 Let me know your thoughts!
Digital TV Delay Bill Fails to Pass the House!!
by blair on Jan.28, 2009, under Daily
This is awesome news! (http://scsurl.com/kz4gv4) I am so sick of hearing about how certain people (read: Obama) wanted to delay the Digital transition to June 12th. Well, it failed to pass the house with the special 2/3 vote. I am so happy to hear this. We have known for almost 3 years about the transition. TV stations, the Internet, and even radio stations have been warning for years. Unfortunately, there are some people who won’t believe this until they crank on their TVs to watch and there’s nothing. This needs to come on February 17th so we can move on and get rid of analog forever. As a techie, I can’t fathom how anyone would want to stay with analog for anything, whether its TV, cell phones, or other things. Digital is much more efficient, much clearer, and much less prone to interference problems. Needless to say, this excites me. I hope it doesn’t get overturned somehow.
Timothy Geithner, Treasury Secretary?
by blair on Jan.26, 2009, under Daily
This is one thing we need to look at immediately. Timothy, who is up for treasure secretary, has cheated on his taxes for years and years, and he owes tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes. Why is he still even being considered? As unfortunate as it is to say, if this was a pick by Bush 8 years ago, the media would be swarming all over this story, calling for him to almost be executed. But with Obama picking him, there is a little coverage about it, but nothing that would make him head out and move on; or at least get up to speed with the IRS and pay what he owes. Apparently the “Messiah” can’t do any wrong and all is good when he picks someone like Tim. I’m all for the “United” States, but this is completely contradictory. The guy running the nation’s finances needs to have his personal finances in order before even attempting to accept his nomination. Glenn Beck said it pretty well here: http://scsurl.com/vzbh6y
Celebrities and Their "Supposed" Sorrow
by blair on Jan.23, 2009, under Daily
One thing I don’t understand is how most celebrities love to voice their far left viewpoints on how the right is destroying everything. What I find annoying is when they make an extremely racist or biased comment that offends a group of people, most recently with Tom Hanks (http://scsurl.com/cz259b) and his calling of Mormon supporters un-American because they were for Proposition 8, the banning of gay marriage. Once he said this and all the backlash came from Mormons, he apologizes. Why even bother? We all know that is his feeling and apologizing doesn’t mean he all of a sudden changed his mind. We know you’re a left-wing doorknob voicing your opinion (which, incidentally he says in his apology is totally American, and that’s why Mormons can support it) but we all know your true feelings since you just told us days earlier. It’s like Mel Gibson shouting anti-semitic remarks and later recanting them; (http://scsurl.com/6xxn97) we already know your feelings and apologizing isn’t going to change the way you feel. All that matters to these Hollywood liberals is the ability to keep making millions upon millions of dollars for acting in a movie. It probably will never change; as long as they make freudian slips, they will be there to say they didn’t mean it.
Obama & Abortion
by blair on Jan.23, 2009, under Daily
Well, this is some disturbing news. Obama plans to sign a reversal of the bill that prohibited giving money to international abortion groups. Yet another of his many lies. http://scsurl.com/cy5afw I remember him specifically saying during his campaigning that he was for reducing the number of abortions performed. He ran as a moderate during his campaign, and now that he is elected, he is leaning so far left he looks like a right angle. What’s next? This irks me to no end. Aside from his wanting to close Gitmo and release all the terrorists back into the US and abroad so they can attack us again, and now this; he has lost some major support from me and many other conservatives who don’t want children killed and selfproclaimed terrorists running free. Come on, Obama, stop following pleasing only the left and try to bring this country together, not divide us with your personal opinions (which are unfortunately much different from 5 months ago.)
Muth Mirror Systems Install Video
by blair on Jan.22, 2009, under Daily
I just got done editing together my first video for work on my Mac. I’m pretty proud of it. It’s only about 90 seconds, but from an hour and a half of raw footage, I think things went well. Check it out! http://scsurl.com/w96mpf
Good Luck, Mr. President
by blair on Jan.20, 2009, under Daily
So today we have sworn in our 44th president of these Unites States of America. I disagree with him on a lot of his policies, but I really do wish him all the best. I will voice my disagreements, but only in a respectful way; unlike the way liberals angrily voiced disagreements with President Bush. I wish you the best, President Obama, and hope you will always do what is best for everyone in this wonderful nation. Godspeed.
"Why You're Wrong About the Right"
by blair on Jan.18, 2009, under Daily
I just started reading this book, “Why You’re Wrong About the Right” by S.E. Cupp. It’s a book about all the common myths and lies spread about conservatives and republicans from liberals. So far, I am through about 4 chapters and I absoutely love the book. She makes so many good points, and tells the actual facts. One myth is the fact that so many think conservatives are racist. It couldn’t be farther from the truth! Back when Lincoln freed the slaves, Lincoln was the first member of the republican party. Us republicans have been for equal rights since the 1800s. The liberal side of things was considered the South as no republican ever owned a slave. I hope to get through the rest of the book within a week or so, it is so addicting. I recommend it to everyone; from the right and the left. Maybe it will shed light to the liberals that we’re not as bad as they have been taught from other liberals. Do pick it up and read it. I don’t read many books at all; in fact this is the first book I have read in many many years, and I like it. Check it out!!
