New Budget or More Spending?

by blair on Feb.26, 2009, under Daily

So President Obama unveiled his new budget this morning for the 2010 year and I couldn’t be more outraged. http://scsurl.com/tnyhb6 Our president has been preaching for us to stop spending because “we” have inherited a deficit from the previous administration. First of all, I don’t really think that spending $3.6 trillion is going to help us close a deficit. President Obama said that to bring the deficit down, we need to spend a ton right now (to create jobs) and save later. I really disagree with all of this. How can we bring down debt by spending more? Consider this: I have 1 credit card that is 90% full; $1000 on it with $1200 credit limit. Would it make sense for me to say that I am going to open and charge fully 2 more credit cards? I don’t think so. I would rather pay $900 off instead of $4000. Much easier, don’t you think? Of course when this is brought up to the left, they are all for it. Can someone tell me why? In the first 38 days of the Obama administration, they have spent more on everything then the Bush administration spent on the Afghanistan war, the Iraq war, and the Katrina bailout. Wha…?? How is this happening!? Unfortunately there is a huge double standard between the right and the left. Liberals criticized Bush at every single possible point for his spending on the war on terror. Now Obama spends close to a trillion on a bailout, and now proposes an almost $4 trillion budget for one year? I disagree with practically every single policy Obama has placed in effect, but I try to keep a positive outlook, something the left never did when Bush was in office. He is my president, and I hope he gets a much better perspective on how partisan he is being, even when he himself said he wants more bi-partisanship.

The Stimulus is Quite Useless!

by blair on Feb.24, 2009, under Daily

So we all know by now that the pork filled Stimulus has been passed. Whoop dee do. This was supposed to fix the downfalling economy and help people keep their jobs. Well bullcrap. This is complete and total spending and nothing else. Thanks a lot Obama. The economy is worse than ever and I’m out of a job. How about some of that stimulus money goes to small businesses, instead of renovating the stupid government offices!! A couple million to the actual businesses that are getting rid of employees and life would be good. Unfortunately all the money is going to spending that benefits no working man or woman. And now I am out of a job. What next…

Academy Awards

by blair on Feb.22, 2009, under Daily

So I have the Academy Awards on in the background, and the writer of the moronic movie Milk wins the best screenplay.  I haven’t seen it but have heard about it and I think it’s stupid first of all because it’s supposedly about  gays or a gay kid or something.  Whatever, if he wins good for him, he’ll never get my money for such a dumb movie.  The thing that really irritated me was the fact that he decided to go on a political and religious rant about gays.  Saying that “you are not second rate” “the government will treat you equally some day” “God does love you”  blah, blah, blah.  This is an awards show, shut the heck up with all this nonsense!  There are times for this, and times not for it.  This was not a time for expressing your annoying liberal views.  Obviously Hollywood is generally all liberal and they all loved it, but the rest of the nation is conservative and doesn’t agree with your views.  It says in the bible that being gay is wrong in the eyes of the Lord.  I belive this.  Hence the need to keep them to yourself, especially on a show awarding you.  Just my 2 cents on these losers, more this guy.

Stimulus? What Stimulus?

by blair on Feb.20, 2009, under Daily

So what is up with our so-called stimulus?  The Dow just plunged below a 7 year low, jsut days after this bill, a bill that was supposed to help us, was signed.  I can understand it may take a week or two for this to take effect, but from what is being said, this isn’t going to do anything for a year or two.  Oh, and thank you so much, President Obama, for the extra $13 a week on my paycheck. <sarcasm>I can finally afford that trip to Hawaii for a month, woo hoo!!</sarcasm> We should have left our economy alone.  Sure there will be tough times, but we will get out of it eventually.  This stimulus is going to do nothing but cause more drastic issues.  One huge reason is that 80% of this frickin stimulus isn’t even for stimulating the economy, but is for the democrat party and  their worthless projects.  There is so much wasteful spending, and it’s no wonder that NO republican voted for it in the House and only 3 did in the Senate.  Remember how much outrage there was when President Bush signed a stimulus for us, the taxpayers?  The stimulus that we actually received money from?  Oh, it was so bad!  But now with Obama’s trillion dollar spending bill that none of us will even see, ridiculous.  Obama said in a statement today that he would not allow the money to be spent wastefully, and he will call out any city, state, gov’t, etc. who does.  Well, sir, call yourself out!!  You signed this bill and probably don’t even know where half of the money is going.  I honestly don’t know if anyone, besides the person who typed the bill up, knows whats in there.  Maybe in a month someone will find money for installing webcams in out bathrooms so the government can make sure we’re bathing properly.  Who knows?  No one! That’s  the problem.

Facebook Changes Their Terms of Service Back

by blair on Feb.18, 2009, under Daily

So, Facebook decided to change their terms of service a couple weeks back.  The new terms said they had:

“an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to (a) use, copy, publish, stream, store, retain, publicly perform or display, transmit, scan, reformat, modify, edit, frame, translate, excerpt, adapt, create derivative works and distribute (through multiple tiers), any User Content you (i) Post on or in connection with the Facebook Service or … (ii) enable a user to Post.”

That is outrageous.  I’m very happy they decided to change their terms back to what they were before, where once you cancelled your account, your content would expire after a certain amount of time.  I don’t know what caused them to decide to change it.  They probably had meetings where employees said that no one would know.  Most of the users of FB are teens and 20 year olds.  That is expanding rapidly to include everyone.  They probably figured that no one would every look at the TOS and they could swoop by.  Well they did for a couple weeks, but once it was found out, it was all over the news.  They didn’t even send a message to their users letting us know it was being changed.  At lease give us the opportunity to deny the new TOS and cancel our accounts.  It’s like what credit card companies do, when the terms change, you get a letter in the mail.  If you don’t like them, you can close your account.   Come on, Mark Zuckerberg, you should know that people don’t like things changed out under their feet.  Look what happened when you changed the layout, people were outraged.  I myself like the new look, but others hated it.  Hear me, Facebook.  If you are going to change anything that effects the way that your service is used, ESPECIALLY when it means that you own everything and anything anyone ever uploads needs to be approved by users, or give them the chance to opt out and leave.

PETA is Ridiculous!

by blair on Feb.17, 2009, under Daily

All I can say about this is that PETA is one of the most horrible and extremist activist groups out there.  They are unbelievably crazy when it comes to their demonstrations, and their “message” is just plain offensive.  They are now having practically naked couples (man-woman, woman-woman, and man-man) out on the streets across the nation making out.  Why? To promote the fact that being a vegan is “sexy.”  How is this about treating animals ethically?  How is a lesbian orgy helping animals?  That’s the point, it’s not. This is especially problematic since it’s happening in public places, where children could be exposed to these explicit acts. I love steak, ham, chicken, and all other kind of meat.  Do I want the animals brutally murdered in a way that causes them great harm?  Of course not, and I don’t think anyone with a conscience would.  If these guys want to promote ethical treatment, I say all for that.  It’s the USA and they are free to do that.  But let’s actually promote that!  Not that eating vegetarian increases your sex drive, because there are nutrients lacking that are only found in meats that actually increase your libido.  It’s a bunch of bull.  I bet half of the people that are vegans don’t ever thing about animals.  I know plenty of people that a so-called vegans that are very much overweight and quite unhealthy.  But then again, I know many people that are red meat eaters and they are in better shape than vegans.  Honestly, PETA needs to get their heads out of the clouds and remember that for thousands of years (or billions if you believe in the evolution nonsense) and even NOW animals in the wild EAT OTHER ANIMALS!!! I am going to start a new movement; PETP, People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants.  I’m sick of the murderous humans that grow all these plants in captivity, and ruthlessly pluck their flowers off and rip them out of the ground.  Plants feel pain!  How ridiculous, just like PETA.  Video below, VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED.

The United Auto Workers are Greedy and Selfish

by blair on Feb.16, 2009, under Daily

I can’t understand why these union moron are  doing this right now. http://scsurl.com/we9md3  The nation’s economy, especially the Auto companies, is horrible.  Hundreds of thousands are losing jobs every month, and these pinheads are holding out for health care for those not even employed? With all due respect, GO BACK TO WORK!!!  I think that GM should just say no to their demands, and when they strike, FIRE THEM.  GM could find millions that would be willing to work for much less than they do.  Unions are annoying, especially when they strike for 4 months and cause television shows to go off the air for months because their greed can’t stop them.  They make so much money, and still don’t care.  It’s all about money, not about those who are on the receiving end of their services.  If I were in negotiations with union reps, I would tell them to take a hike and hire others who aren’t in unions.  Unions definitely had a place back when workers were being taken advantage of, but that doesn’t happen today.  The only thing unions do for us nowadays is A) get the greedy union members more money for standing around doing nothing (UAW) and B) have a place where liberals can come and complain about everything that is wrong about the US and blame it on conservatives.  Unions should be illegal.

Commuter Plane Crash

by blair on Feb.13, 2009, under Daily

There was a big plane crash into a house in Clarence Center, NY about 3 hours ago. Continental Flight 3407. There unfortunately were no survivors, plus someone on the ground was killed as well. 49 people did not survive. My most heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of those killed. Check out Fox News for more updates. There is expected to be a news conference at 4AM Eastern about this. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to any affected friends and family members. I could not imagine this happening to someone I know.

Google, Google…

by blair on Feb.12, 2009, under Daily

I love Google, and I dream of one day working for them.  But I’m kind of saddened that their “doodle” for today is celebrating Charles Darwin’s birthday, the guy who thought up  the “theory” of natural selection.  Now I love Google, but why wouldn’t they celebrate Lincoln’s birthday instead, or at least along side?  If it is because they are worldwide and wanted it to be relevant to everyone, that’s fine with me.  But couldn’t they have done Lincoln’s on the US page, and Darwin’s on the other international pages?
